Ways to Support CACar
Ready to help victims of child abuse and neglect in Arkansas? There are several ways you can support CACar and its missions.
Why Your Gift Matters Right Now
Every child who walks through a Child Advocacy Center (CAC) deserves to be heard—and a team ready to help them heal. But right now, $8 million in funding cuts threaten that safety net.
Without Child Advocacy Centers, the coordinated system that protects and heals children would begin to fracture. The ripple effects would be devastating for survivors and our state:
-
Children would lose access to local, specialized care.
Many would have to travel long distances—leaving their communities and familiar faces—to receive help at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, overwhelming an already full caseload and adding stress for families in crisis.
-
Families would face complex systems alone.
Without CACs to guide them, victims and caregivers would have to navigate medical exams, mental health support, and investigations on their own—often with limited trauma-informed resources and long waitlists, especially in rural areas.
-
Child protection teams would be stretched even thinner.
Caseworkers, law enforcement, and medical professionals rely on CACs to coordinate interviews and share information. Without that coordination, investigations would slow, and fewer children would receive timely protection.
-
Prosecutors would lose critical case support.
Forensic interviews and case documentation from CACs are key to building strong, trauma-informed cases. Without them, fewer child abuse cases would lead to successful prosecutions—and fewer children would find justice.

Much like our handprints, support comes in many different forms. ALL of them are important to continue the mission of CACar
Your generosity strengthens the teams who care for children and families who have faced the unimaginable. Every gift helps unite advocates, medical professionals, law enforcement, and caregivers to ensure that no child faces trauma alone.
