What is a CAC?
A child advocacy center (CAC) is a community-based facility which uses a multidisciplinary approach to reduce trauma to child victims of physical abuse, sexual abuse or neglect.

Every year, Arkansas CACs investigate more than 35,000 cases of child abuse.

Collaboration between medical, mental health, prosecutorial, child protective service and law enforcement is essential to serving the best interests of young victims and providing compassionate care. Services are provided at no cost to victims or their families.
What do CACs do?
Child advocacy centers (CACs) employ collaborative, multidisciplinary teams (MDTs) and research-supported methods to provide comprehensive support to child victims of abuse and neglect in Arkansas. Local centers collect evidence and provide specialized care all in one place, minimizing trauma to victims and families.
